What does villager optimization mean?
Villagers unfortunately cause a lot of strain on the server performance. To combat this all villagers will now need to be “Optimized” in order to be traded with. An optimized villager has most of it’s AI removed so it will not cause nearly as much strain on the server. (It also will no longer move)
Important: The first trade is always expempt to this rule, so you can still reroll to your hearts content.
Important: Optimized villagers will not work in iron farms or villager breeders, make sure to not optimize the villagers in those.
How to tell if a villager is optimized
Optimized villagers will not:
- Turn to face you
- Walk around
- Make snide comments about your outfit
Optimized villagers will still:
- Restock trades
- Hold items to show they want to trade
- Level up when traded with
